Aiyah Josiah-Faeduwor


Aiyah is a Proud Rhode Island Transplant who originally hails from Boston, Massachusetts. Growing up Dorchester and now living and working in the South Side of Providence, Aiyah is no stranger to the need for On-the-Ground, Community and Youth-Centered work to be done in Our Urban Communities. Aiyah graduated from Brown University in 2013 with a B.A. in Public Policy with a focus in Education Policy. Since graduating, Aiyah has served two AmeriCorps years as a Brown University College Advisor at Mount Pleasant High School and at the CCRI Liston Campus. He is currently the Director of Operations at the OIC of Rhode Island, Board Member of the Millennial Professional Group of Rhode Island, Year Up Mentor, Member of the Rhode Island Young Professionals and New Leaders Council Alumni. Aiyah was officially introduced to Youth In Action through the annual Bloom Fundraiser, where he served on the Fundraising Committee, but as a Youth Advisor and Advocate, he has long since known of YIA’s legacy and commitment to empowering and improving the lives of Rhode Island’s Young People.
