Alex Molina


Currently, Alex serves as the Assistant Chief of Planning for the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF). Under this new role, Alex is leading the creation of a new division within the department to provide ongoing supports and services to foster families across the state. Formally, Alex served as the Deputy Director for the Providence After School Alliance (PASA), Alex oversaw the growth and implementation of PASA’s strategies. Under his leadership PASA transformed from a simple start-up to a nationally recognized organization. Prior to joining PASA, Alex worked with youth in New York City, did program coordination, curriculum development, program design and creation, and asset building. A native of Mamaroneck, NY Alex earned a BA in Sociology from Oswego State University and an MPA from University of Rhode Island. In free time Alex supports many local and national organizations, including Paul Cuffee charter school and Phi Iota Alpha Latino Fraternity Inc.
