Pauline Ochieng was raised in Providence—progressing through the school department from elementary to high school. As a high school student, she was a member of YIA’s TITAN from 2006 to 2009. In those 3 years, she grew—not only to love and appreciate YIA as a safe space for youth to engage as leaders and mentors—but also to expand her awareness of her community and self-sufficiency; her experience at YIA helped build the foundation upon which she identifies. She returns to YIA honored to serve on the Board as an alumna. Ochieng is an Electrical Engineer with a background in Consulting Engineering. She’s currently attending Brown University for a Master’s degree in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. In addition to her engineering work, she is an avid rafter, kayaker, painter, reader and writer.
