Pegah Rahmanian joins the YIA family with 10 years of experience developing programs for organizations and institutions, showing a great attention to human relationship, and building community partnerships. Originally from Yellow Springs, Ohio her work and heart have taken her to Chicago, New Orleans, Oakland, and now Providence. Pegah loves working with youth, it’s work that keeps her inspired and creative. She believes an organizaton that puts youth in front with the skills to succeed is an organization that succeeds and is incredibly proud and honored to be in the position of Executive Director of Youth In Action.
Pegah holds a B.A. from Oberlin College in Anthropology, Comparative American Studies, and Gender and Women Studies; and a M.A. from Wright State University in Sociology. She loves the outdoors and indulging in the wild, uses cooking as therapy, has an affinity for soup, playgrounds, and 90’s hip-hop and soul, she collects things like unsharpened pencils, spinning tops, rocks, and abandoned matchbox cars. Pegah lives in the West End of Providence with her partner and her two kittens.
